Circles Of Honor

"Circles of Honor" is a Chivalry-based, graded program created especially for children ranging in ages from the Elementary School level all the way through to the High School level, and beyond. With the permission of Principals, teachers and parents, this program begins with story telling and play-acting at the Elementary School level and culminates with the creation of a personal or family Code of Honor at the High School level. Because of its non-sectarian nature, this program is designed with the aim of not offending any religious sensibilities and, in the broadest sense, encourages children of any religious background to be chivalrous in all of their deeds. Each child's Deeds of Chivalry are woven into the fabric of the Tapestry of Honor, which may be kept at home, at school, or at both home and school. The aim, of course, is not only to encourage and acknowledge chivalrous behavior in each child, but also to contribute to the cultivation of chivalrous and tolerant behaviors in each community and, ultimately to the creation of a better, more tolerant society.

This program is under the direction of members of the Preceptory associated with the Hughes de Payens Commandery.
